About

Signet is the verified ecosystem credential for the Digital Districts Operating System.

One Signet ID is usable across Atlas, Diffusion, Forge and Vault. It confirms who a participant is and carries attested evidence of their qualifications, delivered work and practices.

Core principle

“Signet verifies evidence; it does not issue opinions.”

Every trust signal names its issuer, can be checked independently, and can be withdrawn. Where a record is self-declared, it says so. Where a claim awaits a counterparty, it says so.

What Signet is

A carrier of attested evidence

  • A verified identity plus credentials attested by accredited issuers.
  • A derived assurance level (0 to 3) computed only from active, non-expired credentials.
  • A selective-disclosure mechanism: share a fact such as “Verified director of a registered company” without revealing an identity number.
  • A transparency log: the holder can see who checked their credentials and when.

What Signet is not

Boundaries of the credential

  • Not a legal identity document.
  • Not a visa or a residency status.
  • Not a rating, a score or a guarantee of performance.
  • Not an endorsement by Digital Districts. Digital Districts operates the registry; it does not attest competence.

The four dimensions

Each credential has exactly one home

Identity

Who the participant is: verified identity from a national eID scheme, company registration and directorship from a company registry.

Competence

One panel, two sub-sections. Qualifications: programme completions and professional licences. Delivered work: hub participation and client-attested pilots.

Integrity

Screening clearance and misconduct findings. Misconduct findings live only here — never inside Competence.

Data protection

ISO/IEC 27001 certification and the data protection trust mark at the Declared, Evidenced or Certified tier.

Withdrawal

Signals can always be withdrawn

Suspended, withdrawn and expired credentials stop counting immediately and are shown greyed with the reason. Holders may respond to or dispute any record, and appeals are heard by the Trust Council.
